Inductee No. 002
Craig Mod
A walker-writer's home on the web, built like a well-sewn book: laurel-crowned memoir up top, essays and newsletters below, everything set in patient serif type. Proof that a personal site can out-craft entire publishing houses.

The page opens on a photographed hardcover — Things Become Other Things flat on wood grain, three award laurels above it, blurbs from David Mitchell and William Gibson set into the picture itself — and the rest of the site keeps that print sensibility: centered measure, italic titles, hairline rules between sections, images sized like plates in a book.
The induction case is how much structure hides under the calm. Books, essays, films, newsletters, a membership program — a dozen different offerings ordered so cleanly that the page never once feels like a store. Even the subscription form states its manners in plain text: one-click unsubscribe, no hard feelings. It reads like the site of someone who thinks in bound volumes and walks off every draft, because it is.
The colorway
Five swatches pulled straight from the screenshot. Each pennant leads to its colorway.
