Inductee No. 008
Stüssy
Forty years of streetwear sold through one photograph at a time: full-bleed black-and-white campaign imagery, a skinny text nav parked in the corner, and the hand-scrawled logo doing the rest. Retail reduced to a lookbook.

The homepage is one photograph — a varsity jacket on a windswept boardwalk bench, shot in silver-gelatin black and white — with the entire store riding on a slim column of underlined text links in the top corner. No carousel, no promo tiles, no countdown timers. The scrawled Stüssy mark and one shipping line are the only interface between you and the picture.
What makes it wall-worthy is the nerve. E-commerce orthodoxy says show the grid, surface the bestsellers, chase the click; this brand puts a mood where the merchandising should be and trusts four decades of equity to carry you one click deeper. The design discipline — image first, chrome nearly absent, typography reduced to a list — is the house style of a label that knows exactly who it is.
The colorway
Five swatches pulled straight from the screenshot. Each pennant leads to its colorway.

The mark, for Stüssy
Fly it on Stüssy if you like — it points visitors back to this plaque. The banner stays up either way.
